From PDF to Digital Portfolio

Angela had momentum, experience, and industry recognition—but her digital presence hadn't caught up. She was relying on a large PDF portfolio, sending it manually to directors and production teams.
Her work was high-level, but how it was presented didn't match the standard of the industry she was operating in. Internally, she was also hesitant to position herself for international films, unsure how to present her value confidently to US based directors.
The Challenge
What appeared to be a simple portfolio update turned out to be a deeper issue of positioning and visibility. Her PDF portfolio couldn't showcase her work dynamically, didn't reflect the premium standard of her work, and created friction in how new directors perceived her, before even speaking to her.
She was flying blind when it came to authority. It was clear she needed a digital platform to showcase her work.
What I Did
I started by building her first professional website by getting her involved in the creative side of things. She was great at articulating the vision but terrible at knowing how to present this online. So I transformed her portfolio into a structured, high-end digital presence that directors could easily navigate and building their trust.
Phase 1: Establishing Presence
- Designed and launched her first website
- Transitioned from PDF to premium digital portfolio
- Result: began securing higher-level film and TV opportunities
Phase 2: Positioning for the US Market
- Elevated design and sharpened presentation
- Aligned site with expectations of international production market
- Result: signed with a leading agent, access to larger-scale opportunities
Phase 3: Expanding the International Reach
- Redesigned the homepage to attract international directors
- Continued evolution of positioning for global scale
Each iteration of her website has matched the level she was stepping into.

The Outcome
With a professional digital presence in place and clearer positioning, Angela began securing higher-level opportunities. Within months of launching her first site, she landed major film and TV projects. Following her second redesign, she signed with a leading agent. Now, she's expanding her reach internationally.
Even more importantly, her platform now grows with her career—no longer behind it.
